Carl Zeiss Tour Thoughts
Now safely back in the UK and in the comforts of the house, I have had the chance to look over the 200 odd photos that were taken, checked out Twitter too see the comments and generally had time to reflect and look back over what was a great 3 day in Stuttgart
Whilst in Germany I met some great people who all had different personalities, views, interests and all had 1 thing in common, to get the most out of the trip.

The 2 people I knew best through websites were Taimas from Daily Mobile who’s site I visit every day but never met him before, and Dotsisx from Symbian Guru who I have talked too before but never met. However the great thing about events like these are the people you also meat who you DONT know.
I met Phil from http://me.dm/blog/ who introduced me to the benefits of AudioBoo which i am happy to report i will now be using. Phil was from the UK and was a very nice down to earth guy who enjoyed chatting too
Another person I met was Jenifer (MsJen) who again was very friendly and easy going. Jen was full of happiness at all times and this seemed to have an effect on the group as we all got on well, all spoke to each other even if it was 6.30 in the morning or 11pm at night, we all got on and all enjoyed ourselves.
Meraj was a really nice guy, spoke to everyone, listened to everyone and got really involved with the Carl Zeiss tour and taking lots of photos. I have since added him to my Twitter friends and will be keeping in touch.
Stefanos was very well spoken about things, had many question and you knew where yoy stood with him, by that i mean there were times something would be said which was not suitable, Stefanos was the only one to step in and say what had to be said. He really gained my respect and would be someone i would enjoy meeting in events again
Tam made this event so special in many ways. He was always finding things to talk about so never a quiet moment. He is developing a touch screen note taking application for S60 which did look very impressive and should be available soon for you to download.
Somewhere in the 3 days we managed to fit in a tour of a Carl Zeiss factory, the HQ and everything else that was planned.
I will get the official photos up on this page shortly but for now I would like to thank everyone at WOM World/Nokia especially Donna and Katie for not only arranging the tour but for making sure everyone was well looked after and felt part of the group.
Also thank you to Risto and Anssi from Nokia who came along with us and it was great to hear their views, especially working for Nokia….. also the fact they brought along nice shiny new Nokia N86′s for us to use through the time there.
BIG BIG thanks to the team over at Carl Zeiss for all their work and effort keeping us involved and learning as much as possible. You made everyone feel welcome and were available for any questions we had which must not have been easy having 8-10 people all asking questions.
Of course a big thanks as well to everyone who came along as part of the group, the tour was great but the people were what helped make the 3 days so special and through this I have made new friends and contacts for life.
