Off To Barcelona: A Mobile Adventure
Tomorrow is the day I have been waiting for a long time!. My first holiday abroad in what must be 3-4 years so i’m packing now and jetting off to sunny Barcelona, Spain.

Of course being such a gadget freak I am not leaving anything behind so my bag contains the normal clothes for somewhere hot (including a VERY limited edition World Of Nokia Shirt and Cap) but with goodies too:
Nokia N79
My main device for the holiday down to the specs it has. Im using a Black, unlocked T-Mobile version of the handset with a O2 SIM card in due to the very cheap roaming on Telefonica, plus 35p a minute video calls back to the UK and texts coming from my allowance… perfect!. The GPS with pre-installed Nokia Maps 2.0 will be great to find my away around with no cost at all, plus there is the 5 megapixel camera which will be my ONLY camera I use on the trip…. yes it’s true, no proper digital camera for me, just my 5 meg camera phone. it is also great for the VGA video recording so most of my time this is the handset of choice.
Nokia 6120 Classic
An old, but trusty friend. I had one as my staff phone at 3, i have one as my staff phone at T-Mobile, yes there is only a 2 megapixel camera, no GPS and old software but signal wise its outstanding, has a video calling camera and is one of the best devices i have owned for being reliable with good battery life. This will be switching between T-Mobile and Vodafone for Passport use calling back to the UK
Samsung NC-10 NetBook
This is a new toy of mine I had been thinking about getting for a little while and after seeing great reviews about battery life and the specs I can see why. I picked up the Apple style White model and this will be getting a lot of use backing up daily photos, writing for the site and general netbook use.
Vodafone Stick Pro Modem
My latest gadget is a new black Vodafone Pro modem and with a flat rate charge and getting 5GB a month over 30 days it was a great deal. Plus when using abroad you can use 50mb in 24 hours for just £9.99 so wont be THAT expensive.

The reason for all these gadgets?, to show that Mobile Technology can be used in a great way instead of just calling or texting. I am using the N79 as my camera and video recorder to show a lot of people who don’t look at camera phones that they can be used as a camera
So those are all the gadgets in my bag, you have to wonder am i going for a holiday or work?. Is there a difference these days for a blogger or someone running a mobile phone website?.
What I will say is I will enjoy the heat, enjoy my tour of Barcelona and my Stadium visit of the Nou Camp plus chilling out at the bar and having a great time.
Any major news over the weekend will be covered by Christian until my return but I will be popping my head in when possible to catch up.

Great post, and certainly very similar to me when I travel. More electronic mobile devices than clothes.!
Safe trip Dan, look forward to seeing what you get up to.

Nokia 6120 look like last year’s 6234 but without video capture of 640×480.
And the usual series 40 apps; stopwatch, count down, speed, improved player and standby screen, ….
Nice to know S60 team are getting there with matching the size of other nokias and handsets on the market.
I do really like your good enough data! Could you accomplish the comparison contrast essay as example? Because I do know that a great paper writing service could compose well researched term papers of supreme quality.
