Today, Nokia has taken the Eseries back to basics with a phone “Optimized for voice”, essentially what a mobile should be, but with a twist. It boasts an amazing 8 hour talk time and 23 day standby before you need to plug it in and it has noise cancellation aswell. Although Nokia have announced the phone to be optimized for voice, it still sports a 3.2MP camera, GPS and all the latest gubbins you’ll expect on your new phone. Probably the most interesting point that seems to be slightly overlooked, is that its Nokia’s “fastest” handset so far, sporting a whopping 10.2mbps HSDPA and a 2.0mbps HSUPA. They seemed to have skipped the 7.2 and gone straight to 10.2!
Here is the offical Press release from Nokia, Although its short, its certainly sweet.
It has been a busy start to the year for Eseries, Nokia’s range of productivity optimized devices, and the company has announced a new smartphone in the form of the Nokia E52. This voice optimized handset fits easily into your pocket and the impressive battery life means you can sit on single call for an eight hour business day without plugging in the charger. Of course, the new email UI from the Nokia E75 is here, along with a GPS, 3.2 Mpix camera, noise cancellation and all of those Ovi Services. The Nokia E52 is expected to start sales in the second half of 2009 at an estimated retail price, before taxes or subsidies, of EUR 245.
This Handset has really gone back to where Nokia first started with their business range of phones. Great talktime, great standby time, and great voice call quality. It almost feels to me that they are going right back to their roots and taking things out of their first generation phones what people loved and putting the features into their new Eseries, which surely people will love. The phone is available in Silver and bronze. Here is a small gallery below.

Thanks to Nokia conversations for the images.
